Pat Barrett
Founder – Registered Principal
A Financial Advisor for over 30 years, Pat’s vision has always been to be an advisor for many folks, with a straight forward look at financial services and focusing on what is most important in practical terms. With that in mind, he subscribes to a holistic approach to financial planning, and Barrett Financial has flourished by staying true to that approach. Pat’s ability to communicate complex concepts and evaluate the many facets of financial planning and investing make him an invaluable resource to clients. However, it’s his genuine concern for the lives and growth of others that makes him more than an advisor. To many, he is a guide, a confidante, and a friend. The priorities of his clients are his priorities.
Pat believes his work as an advisor is more than a career. He describes a great day as, “Helping a client discover what is important in their life and tailoring a wealth plan designed to help them achieve those goals.”
Living in a small closely knit community is a gift he has been given. With that understanding, he has been an instrumental member of the Anacortes community for decades. Most of his immediate family live in Anacortes, which Pat considers a great blessing. He and his family are known for their active involvement in charitable organizations and ongoing philanthropic work in Anacortes and beyond.
Pat was raised in Montana, but followed the water’s siren song to Anacortes, where his efforts toward supporting local sustainability have made him a well-known, respected member of the community. Enough cannot be said about his vision for community care and commitment. Pat is an avid sailor, gardener, and supporter of the arts. His passion for family, friends, clients, community, and work are a reflection of his belief in Mahatma Gandhi’s advice that, “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
What is your favorite spot in Skagit Valley?
Being as provincial as I’ve become, my favorite “spot” is wandering about the downtown of Anacortes and seeing friends and neighbors. Pelican Books in downtown Anacortes is a great community gathering spot and it always gives me joy to see that our family’s vision for this business has come to fruition in ways that I never imagined.
