Financial Planner, CFP®
Andrew is a Financial Planner, holding the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. He is driven by an unyielding optimism and the firm belief that with the right team and communication in place, anything really is possible.
Andrew grew up in Washington State and treasures memories growing up of fishing and crabbing around the San Juans – memories he’s eager to recreate! He graduated from Seattle University in 2013 with a degree in Mathematics and entered the financial services industry shortly after graduating. This experience instilled in him the importance of truly comprehensive financial planning while also stressing the importance of a collaborative approach with clients. While he can spend hours emersed in a spreadsheet, it’s the extraction and then distillation of the bullet points from that data and reconciling those bullet points with a client’s vision for their lives that truly brings him joy.
When not in the office, you can usually find him, his partner, and the 150lbs of Husky hiking around and exploring all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
What was your first job?
My first job was working as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the very same pool that I learned to swim at.
What is the best gift you have ever received?
Being in the outdoors is very near and dear to who I am and how I tick. A few years back, I was volunteering with an organization that helped newcomers learn the ropes and finer skills of rock climbing and mountaineering. That year, the class awarded me an old school mountaineering ice axe with my name engraved on it…probably one of the coolest and most treasured gifts I own.
What part of Barrett Financial makes you most excited?
Working with clients in order to leverage our team’s skill and knowledge to connect clients’ resources with their why.
